In its article ''Trump address sparks chaos as coronavirus crisis deepens' CNN stated:
President Donald Trump set out to steady a rattled nation and a diving economy in a solemn Oval Office address, but instead sowed more confusion and doubts that he is up to handling the fast-worsening coronavirus crisis.
Trump's big announcement for keeping the virus at bay -- what he said was a 30-day ban on travel to the US by Europeans and restrictions on cargo -- was immediately engulfed in confusion. His actual words were “We are responding with great speed and professionalism,” “To keep new cases from entering our shores, we will be suspending all travel from Europe to the United States for the next 30 days.”
The news organization then stated:
"Trump also caused a muddle when he said he had convinced health insurance providers to waive all copayments for coronavirus treatments.""The confusion was symptomatic of an administration that has often struggled to frame detailed policies and present them coherently. ""But the confusion over the travel ban turned his speech into something of a debacle and may up exacerbating uncertainty over his leadership."They then quoted left wing Seattle mayor, Jenny Durkan, stating she:
"told CNN's Don Lemon that stringent measures to restrict public gatherings and close schools were therefore vital to saving lives."CNN is demanding that sporting events, concerts, classes and most public gatherings be shut down to prevent the spread of the virus. Yet the news organization also demanded that 'immigrants' be allowed to cross the southern US border in mass. They stated::
"The policy, officially known as Migrant Protection Protocols, mandates that non-Mexican asylum return to Mexico as they await hearings in the United States. It has resulted in the creation of makeshift camps where hundreds of migrants have waited for weeks, if not months, in squalid and unsafe conditions. In some cases, migrant families have opted to send children across the US-Mexico border alone."
"Lawyers for the asylum seekers called the government's policy illegal and said that in the months that it has been in effect "reports of murder, rape, torture kidnapping, and other violent assaults against returned asylum seekers have climbed."How could it be that the thousands of people crossing the border are somehow immune from the coronavirius but many Americans are disease ridden virus carriers? If preventing the spread of the disease is important - as CNN claims - then thousands of potential carriers should not be crossing our borders.
CNN is sowing the seeds of confusion and hypocrisy. CNN's main concern is increasing the political power of their Party. They believe so called 'migrants' will be long term welfare recipients thereby reliant on the Party for their existence. The news organization is unconcerned that thousand of Americans may contract the virus because of the open southern border. CNN is willing to risk American lives in the name of increased Party power. CNN advocates restricting the spread of the virus but then promotes a border policy which increases the spread of the coronavirus. Complete hypocrisy.
CNN should not be considered a news organization. It cannot handle reporting on major news events. Instead, it uses the events to promote its own political propaganda.
