Yahoo's article states:
“I never saw race,” Brady said. “I think sports transcends race. It transcends wealth. It transcends all that. You get to know and appreciate what someone else may bring. When you’re in a locker room with 50 guys, you don’t think about race because you’re all in the same boat at that point.
This is an incredibly privileged statement. Not privilege as defined by wealth, but the privilege of being a white man in America and never having to deal with or possibly even consider the things that his black teammates, many of whom Brady would readily refer to as friends, deal with every day
It’s also wrong.
It doesn’t make Brady a bad person, it just seems that he hasn’t taken the time to educate himself on the reality of life for black Americans or feels empty statements that seem to say “I’m not a racist” are good enough. And he’s certainly not the first person to say they don’t see race.
"At its very essence, saying you don’t see race means you’re not seeing people for who they fully are. "Yahoo's left wing reporter was literally angered that Brady didn't judge people on the basis of skin color.
The left wing news organization is unable to see past a person's skin tone. Yahoo Sports is claiming its tough to be a rich black man in America, Lebron James has it tough. Russel Wilson has it tough. Kevin Durant has it tough. Contrastingly, according to the news organization. a white man having trouble paying his bills has it easy in America. A homeless white man has it made in America. These men are privileged.
There are many more opportunity doors open for James then there is for a white man who can barely pay his bills. James has access to the best lawyers, restaurants, country clubs and gyms. The so called privileged white man has none of this.
Yahoo Sports is staffed by left wing racists. These small minded reporters judge everyone on the basis of their skin color. They define a person by their ethnic background. Their bigotry prevents them from viewing people on the basis of their actions and personalities. The journalists are simply unable unable to judge a person as an individual.
